Madden 15 Browns ratings are here, and for any of the millions of followers of rookie QB Johnny Manziel on Twitter, that means it’s time to pick apart this year’s player ratings and decide whether they’re mad, glad, or somewhere in the middle.

EA isn’t expected to officially unveil the ratings for the AFC and NFC North until later today, however our fans have voted specifically for us to reveal what we know about the Browns in advance. For all the other ratings expected out today, you’ll have to wait until EA’s official reveal before we’ll post them out of respect for their Madden 15 ratings release schedule.

The Cleveland Browns may have only won four games last season, but the general consensus around the league is that they are a team on the rise with intriguing talent across the board. While we don’t what WR Josh Gordon’s fate will be in the NFL over the long haul, there’s no question he’s a premier talent (93 overall). Other up and coming stars like Jordan Cameron (89 overall) are sure to make an even bigger name for themselves this year, while studs like CB Joe Haden (95) are as reliable as you can get in the secondary.

Then, of course, there are the new rookie sensations on the roster. CB Justin Gilbert (77) might not have the highest overall there is yet, but that’s commonplace for rookies, and his abilities speak better to his potential: 94 speed, 94 agility, 92 acceleration, 85 man coverage and 86 zone coverage. As far as well-rounded coverage corners go, Gilbert is the prototype. In fact, there’s quite a few rookies worth looking into this year on the Browns.

Want to know the rest of the Madden 15 Browns ratings? Take a peek at our easily-sortable spreadsheet below, that has all of the players on both offense and defense split into position groups to make it easier to compare and contrast. We’ve even removed all of the unnecessary ratings at each position to cut down on the clutter, and have made it so you can sort by your preferred rating (such as speed).

I’m really shocked that they gave manziel a 82 speed…..hell they gave RG3 a 93 speed his rookie year. Browns are still a solid team though.

    • Chris Cutty

What is it you don’t get???? Manziel ran a 4.68 at the combine….and RGIII ran a 4.41

      • Brandon Ragland

An 82 from a 93 is huge difference for .27

        • chris cutty

Yea almost a full 3seconds slower you know how much 3 seconds is in a race….to put it in prospective andrew luck ran a official 4.67 at his combine and a 4.58 unoffical on par with cam newton….luck madden rookie spd rating was also 82. Where manziel gets alot of luv is his acceleration which states although he doesnt posses rg3 breakaway speed he does reach his top speed way faster than others….clowney ran a 4.53 official vs. A 4.47 unofficial and his speed rating is 88 so put that in prospective…..johnny is fast for a qb and super quick but does not posses world class sprinter speed (4.3, 4.4) peyton manning ran a 4.9 his rookie season for a 55spd rating for petes sake

          • Brandon Ragland

I guess it just comes down to balancing issues. Its really the only thing I can think of.

          • Pat

A full 3 seconds slower would make him run a 7.68, dumb ass. 0.3 seconds slower, maybe, not 3 full seconds.

  • Braxton O’Neal

They hooked manziel up. Plus with that speed at lb their d will be solid, throw in josh Gordon and Cameron and you got a team. Just need a blazer RB

    • Brandon Ragland

not with the new QB system.

      • Ryan Taylor

Still looks pretty solid. Thats a very viable starter.

  • Chris Cutty

Manziel is elusive not a burner….thats why his acceleration and agility are stellar for a qb

  • RPSII

How is Tate stronger, and more of a trucker, than West.. OK.. that’s pretty fuckin’ retarded.

  • mitchapalooza

Common sense would tell you that Manziel runs faster than Jordan Cameron. Also, Haden and Gordon are always too slow. Gordon should be 95, Haden at least 93. Gipson had 5 picks last year but I guess he can’t catch the ball for shit.

    • chris cutty

Cameron ran a 4.53 un and 4.59 official so common sense would say straight line spd he is faster doesnt mean he is quicker or more elusive….but will beat him in a race and mike vike and rg3 would smoke him….manziel on par with luck, newton, and kapernick as far as speed

To have a proper “cheez” team the QB has to be at the very least an 80 speed, with a little carry ability (just enough not to fumble all the time) Johnny “Football” exceeds these requirements. I have run this since 2007 Madden and I am still 1 of the best top 100 Xbox players. All I run is 5 wr shotgun, as soon as you commit an extra guy to the rush I hit the open player, if you drop back I’m taking off, period. I can do this with a 75 speed QB but 85 or more is just deadly. Anyone remember the Vick/Falcons team? As I got better stick skills cheez teams became obsolete but still.. in a tournament/gamersaloon situation I will cheez you to death. Finally with my hometown Brownies! (No more Raiders) See me on Gamer Saloon! Give me your money!

    • GC

You sound like a flat out loser lmfao

      • Jon Doe

Yeah.. you think you’re the first Madden troll I have come across? That’s what they all say “loser” “cheater”.. but then it’s, “what defense do you run” “how do you this, how do you that, is that a glitch, you wanna lab bro?” Put a 100 dollars up, best out of 3 takes all, you in?

        • GC

like i said you sound like a fuckin loser, i actually play football, workout and go outside
not “lab” in madden all day

          • Jon Doe

            1. My apologies for expressing thought, I will contact you and ask your permission before I make a comment.
            2. Is it not ironic, that a person goes out of their way to call another person a “loser”? Surely if you were so.. “cool” you would not bother with such a person that is beneath you. (Very telling)
            3. I actually thought you were a gamer, I was ready to throw some money down but really you are just another loser who feels better about themselves by calling other people “losers”
            4. God forbid.. a Madden enthusiast making comments on a Madden webpage. Shocking.. right? “loser talking about Madden on a Madden site, how dare these people..”

          • GC

lmfao… never said i was “cool” but anyone who claims theyre the best at madden and writes a fuckin essay on it is a loser

          • Jon Doe

Someone who sits on the computer crying about people who makes Madden comments on a Madden website is a loser

  • Brandon Ragland

I’m looking forward to seeing all these teams this year!

  • Warner Bush

manziel. 82 speed. really? more like 90.

  • Kylan Bright

I think Johnny should have an 86 speed. He has a unofficial time of 4.56 and 4.63. Combined comes out at 4.59

  • Logan

Think both QBs should be the same overall.

  • david son

If u play football, and or do not play madden, then why do you come to a madden website. this is for discussion about the game. if i say the 9ers or skins have great wr cores, dont bash cuz theyre not elite in real life, theyre elite in the game, and on this page, thats all that matters.
