Madden 15 Ratings: Jadeveon Clowney’s Shameful Stamina
Madden 15 ratings for the top rookies in this year’s draft class were revealed just hours ago, but while the overall ratings for the Houston Texans #1 overall draft pick Jadeveon Clowney might be the best in the class, his effort on the field has clearly earned him a nasty reputation of taking plays off that has extended it self into the digital world, with an paltry 69 stamina rating.
In Madden NFL, stamina is reflective of how long a player can stay on the field before his skills quickly start deteriorating, and for Jadeveon Clowney that means things start going down hill quite fast. With an incredible 88 speed, 92 acceleration, 94 power move and 95 hit power, Clowney is just about everything you could ask for in a rookie defender, but his stamina will severely limit him on the field for the time being.
If It’s in The Game, It’s In The Game
Madden 15 ratings czar Donny Moore was quick to defend the decision on Twitter to dock Clowney so hard on his stamina. “He is not a 3 down player at this point in his young NFL career,” said Moore, who has no-doubt painstakingly crafted this year’s ratings from numerous game films and opinion from NFL talent evaluators. For now, it seems, the only thing stopping Clowney from dominating in the Madden world is the same thing that may stop him from doing so in real life — himself.
What do you think about Donny Moore’s decision to penalize Clowney’s stamina so heavily? Was it the right call?
