Madden NFL 16 Primer: Why 'Draft Champions' Matters

Madden 15 Ratings Begin Release Tomorrow

The fight for Madden 15 ratings is over. It all starts Monday.
The fight for Madden 15 ratings is over. It all starts Monday.

Madden 15 ratings for either players or teams are expected to start leaking out tomorrow, Monday the 21st of July, this according to recent statements made in EA SPORTS hype videos and from developers both on social media, and on Twitch.

If you followed along with Madden NFL 15’s developer live stream on Friday (or even just read our recap), then the Madden 15 ratings reveal tomorrow isn’t news to you. This is also something we learned in a brief teaser at the end of the Madden 15 rookies reaction video, which saw some of the top rookies of this year’s draft class react to their own ratings when shown to them.

Still, with the Madden 15 player ratings (or possibly just team ratings) starting their reveal tomorrow, we thought now was a good time to let everyone know that might have missed that little nugget of info.

Madden 15 Ratings Monday (But Not All of Them)

It’s important to keep in mind that this won’t include all of the ratings, as told directly by game developer Rex Dickson during Friday’s live stream, but it will begin the process of revealing ratings to fans. Last season, ratings were initially teased in top rated player videos, and then released in bulk on the offensive, and defensive side of the ball on separate days. Something similar may be in store for fans this year, as the ratings reveal process is typically a very well-crafted schedule designed to get the most out of fan interest, and truly begin the hype for the new game cycle.

With the recent Madden 15 rookie ratings reaction video being the first official bit of advert to tease the ratings, there’s strong speculation that rookies may be the first that get revealed on Monday. EA could release rookies first, and then follow up with ratings for each division, or they could start rolling them out by position group. We already learned a small amount about specific Madden 15 player ratings a few weeks back, when we first got wind of an upcoming ratings reveal. Now, it appears the wait is nearly over.

It was learned more than a month ago that Seattle Seahawks CB and cover star Richard Sherman would be the top rated player in the game. But, who else is joining him in the elite of the elite? Does the Madden takeover from the Legion of Boom mean anything for the ratings of Seattle’s secondary? Hopefully, we’ll find out all this and more when Madden 15 ratings start arriving on Monday.

UPDATE: The full Madden 15 ratings schedule has arrived!

Did You Miss It? Rookies Saw Their Madden 15 Ratings

Madden 15 rookie ratings are not yet here, but if you’re into the whole Madden Ultimate Team thing, we have had these Future Stars cards for a while with some interesting stats. This is EA’s take on the future stud versions of each player — sort of a player rating based on super potential — and they’re pretty wild. Check them out below for a few top players in the draft class.

I think they might make Peyton 99, but Tom will probably be 95-97.

One can only hope! Hopefully they make playaction a useful skill this year…I havn’t heard anything about that yet. Have you?

        • http://gomadden.com GoMadden

That’s something they’re hoping to overhaul in Madden 16 and beyond. It’s not something I think has been touched this year. But they did specifically say that it’s on the to-do list for the future.

only Richard Sherman will be a 99 every one else will probably be 98 and below

    • http://gomadden.com GoMadden

They didn’t technically say he would be the only 99 I don’t think. They said he was the highest rated player at 99, but he could be tied at 99 with a few others for those honors.

      • eugene mack

they did say that but you right other players will have 99 I say it will be a 99 at every position MIGHT

  • Steel226

I’d be shocked if it were anything other than team ratings.

  • JoeShort

There are 6 players rated at 99, Richard Sherman, Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles and three more that I have forgotten lol

  • Steel226

Wow with it already being after 5 Eastern time, they really, really meant sometime Monday on this rating announcement huh

we all should know that Peyton, Richard Sherman, JJ Watt, Calvin Johnson and a HB out of Jamal Charles and Adrian Peterson will have a overall of 99 in my mind but the rookies I hope Clowney gets a 83 or 85 for being the first overall pick and I also hope my boy Johnny Manziel get at least a 78 to 80 I also believe that they should have a 99 overall player at every position
