Madden NFL 16 Primer: Why 'Draft Champions' Matters

Titus Young Had His Own Madden 25 ‘Run Free’ Moment

Well, Madden did want us to use the jump button more this year.
Well, Madden did want us to use the jump button more this year.

The official Madden NFL Twitter has been asking everyone now and again how they like to #RunFree in light of the recent announcement of their new precision running feature in Madden 25, but it sounds like Titus Young took the hashtag way too seriously.

In a bizarre series of events this weekend, former Lions receiver of “I’m better than Calvin Johnson” fame was arrested twice by Police over a 15 hour span. The first time Young was taken into custody was the result of taking an illegal left turn in front of a police cruiser. He was suspected of driving under the influence, cited, and released from custody later in the day.

That’s not the weird part, though. What followed could only be described as the Titus Young way to “Run Free,” in a brilliant display of off-fence.

At 2:22 PM on Sunday, police received a call from a tow company yard that reported someone jumping over the fence. Little did they know at the time, it was Young putting his precision jumping skills to use, as he broke into the lot in an apparent attempt to retrieve his recently impounded Mustang.

When Titus Young reportedly lined up in the wrong spot on purpose in a Lions game last season, he was promptly benched. When he decided to line up on the wrong side of an impound lot, he was taken into custody by police. There’s currently no word on whether or not Young understood the “Free” part of running free this year, but in all fairness, it was probably a pretty wicked jump.

We weren’t able to get in touch with Young for a comment (probably because we never tried), but we imagine it won’t be long until he comes out and tells us what we already know: He’s way better than that Dick Fosbury guy.
