There is nothing more demoralizing in Madden 15 than seeing your well-earned field goal get blocked, which is why if you know how to do it yourself, then you can change the tide of a game in an instant. And we’re about to show you how.

In our latest Madden 15 Minute Tip, I quickly break down my favorite way to block field goals this season, using a method that requires a lot of timing, skill and practice, and is certainly much more legitimate than the many glitches you might find around the net.

Still, we are talking about FG blocking, and while this technique doesn’t have a 100% success rate, it’s definitely vastly more effective than otherwise. For that reason, you might consider this more of a borderline exploit than a fair tip, so proceed with caution and make up your own mind whether to use this online. I think once you try it out, however, you’ll quickly realize that it’s nowhere near as easy as it looks.

Big Man Rumble with this alternate method. Instead of moving your outside linebacker over to the inside two steps, try taking the DT directly to his right, and moving him over one step so that he is right above the left tackle. Utilize the same technique as discussed in the video, and you should get similar results. I haven’t mastered this technique with the DT yet, however there is potential for it to be even more effective than the LB method. I’m also a little more uncomfortable with this method because I think the skill required, when done successfully, is much lower and really defeats the purpose of finding a “fairly fair” way to block kicks.
