Madden 26 is Called Madden 15
Alright, this Madden 26 stuff is certainly confusing for everyone, so we can understand if you’re a bit lost right now. Last year EA Sports decided to give Madden 14 the name of Madden 25. EA did this to help commemorate its 25-year-anniversary of the Madden NFL franchise, but now they’re moving back to the old naming format, meaning there is no Madden 26.
This year, what should be Madden 26 is now going back to its original naming structure, which makes it Madden 15. There are already a lot of really cool videos and defensive changes revealed for the upcoming game. Personally, I would have preferred if they didn’t make us ask will there be a Madden 26, and just kept the name structure correct from the beginning, but hey, here we are! Gotta move on :)
With the added focus on defense this new season, it’s going to be pretty important to learn a few Madden tips so that you don’t get left behind on offense. I think the focus on defense was a great idea from EA, because everyone knows the “D” on Madden 25 was lackluster at best. With a swarm of defensive improvements, as well as presentation advancements thanks to help from a former NFL Films producer, Madden 15 appears to have all the trappings of a best in series. Time will tell whether or not such lofty expectations hold up.
Madden 15 & Not Madden 26 Will Release on August 26th
Madden 15 will release on August 26th, and be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and the PS3. There will be no Wii U Madden this season, or in the foreseeable future as EA seems intent on skipping Nintendo’s next-gen platform for the time being. Heck, maybe Nintendo and EA will reunite for Madden 50… or will it be called Madden 35? Oh boy, my brain hurts just thinking about it.
